Film facts
In the 2007 movie, The Bucket List, two ageing strangers — billionaire hospital tycoon Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson at his snarky best) and blue-collar mechanic Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman, smooth as ever) — find themselves unlikely roommates in a cancer ward.
Instead of quietly fading away, they scribble down a “bucket list” of wild adventures to tackle before they kick the bucket. What follows is a globe-trotting bromance full of skydiving, racing cars, exotic dinners and a few hilariously ill-advised stunts.
Nicholson delivers sharp one-liners with a devilish grin, while Freeman brings warmth, wisdom and a steady hand to this story of reckless escapades. Beneath the comedy and daredevil antics, the film digs into deeper questions of love, forgiveness and what really matters when time runs short.
Equal parts road trip, buddy comedy, and tearjerker, The Bucket List reminds us that it’s never too late to chase joy — or to annoy your best friend while doing it.
